Service Model
Through a model of case-management, career exploration and development, employability and life skills workshops, individual employment or service plans, education and training, work support services, and intensive Career Club placement assistance, Nevada Partners provides a pathway to meaningful employment for youth and adults. Nevada Partners prides itself on the performance indicators that demonstrate our program effectiveness and focus on results.
Employers regularly are surveyed about the lack of a prepared workforce and how this affects their bottom-line. Nevada Partners seeks to prepare the Southern Nevada workforce, equipping individuals with both the employability skills (interviewing, customer service, and good work ethic) and technical skills (job training in the occupation or industry) they need to succeed.
Measures of Success
Our measurable performance in the adult program is as follows:
In the Adult Program category, Nevada Partners:
- Exceeded planned enrollment by 164%;
- Placed 76% of participants into jobs;
- Was the most cost-effective provider, achieving results for exited workers at a cost of $1,017 per enrollee compared to an average of $1,457 for all other providers;
- Served more than a quarter of the total enrollees with only one-third of the funds given;
Under this program, Nevada Partners placed 807 adult participants into careers with an average starting wage of $11 per hour, with access to health and retirement benefits as well as career promotion opportunities.
In the Dislocated Worker category, Nevada Partners:
- Exceeded planned enrollment by 120%
- Placed 81% of participants into jobs;
- Was the most cost-effective provider, achieving results for exited workers at a cost of $1,266 exited participant vs. an average of $1,457 for all other providers;
- Served 36% of the enrollees in the Southern Nevada workforce system with only one-third of the funds available.
Nevada Partners assisted 91 workers reenter the job market through the dislocated worker program last year.
